Happy Wednesday, everyone! Today I am sharing photos that I took with a friend over the past weekend. It was a “surprise” celebration from her for something that is very special and important to me. What better way to celebrate than in a room full of confetti?!? Also, today is a perfect day to share them because I need something happy since Dom leaves for Germany in a few hours and will be gone the rest of the month – yes I am very sad about it. Three weeks is a long time okay?? No one ever said dating a foreigner would be easy haha!
Anyways, The Montrose Studios, here in Houston, turned one of their rooms into a confetti room with balloons and opened it to the public to come play and take photos! I mean, you would be lying if you told me you’ve never wanted to grab a handful of confetti and throw it around everywhere! So basically, we walked in, showed them our tickets, went to the Confetti Room, blared some T-Swift and became a little child all over again! If you can’t tell by the photos, it was a freaking BLAST! Best part? We didn’t have to clean it up!
Not very many people know what I was/am celebrating (yesterday was the actual date), which for now I am not comfortable stating. But saying that, I want to give a special shout out to one of my absolute best friends, Kerry, who planned this for me. She’s been there for me through thick and thin and helped keep me strong through the process. She was the first one to say we need to celebrate and she’s always there when I’m having the bad or struggle moments. She hit the hammer on the head with this confetti room celebration as well. I love you Kerry!! Thanks again!!
I’m not sure how long the Confetti Room will be open, but the artist did say she might be switching it up every now and then with different, fun things for the public to come see! To rent the room, it is $50 for an hour, even though you probably don’t need an hour. You can have plenty of fun in a short amount of time. There were a few props in the room but nothing like good ole confetti to do the trick! The artist was the sweetest ever and let us stay longer than our rented time. She had a flower wall in the front room, as well, that we also took some photos with. I am so excited to see what the next exhibit will be! Definitely go check it out if you are in Houston!
Hope each one of you has an amazing day!
