Everyday Beauty Must-Haves…

Today I thought I would share my beauty must-haves and products that I’ve tested. If you are like me, you have tried every kind of product (twice), hoping to find what works best for you and your skin. I have found what works best for my sensitive skin and I have fallen in love with all these products.

Face

I am extremely particular about what I put on my skin so I have always searched for the most natural, vegan, paraben free, sulfate free foundation and powder. I was dealing with some pretty bad adult acne, which I shared here, so I went to Sephora looking for a change. They directed me to Tarte. Tarte Cosmetics is an eco-friendly, high-performance, hypoallergenic, natural make-up line. I started off by trying the Amazonian Clay 12-Hour Full Coverage Foundation and the Amazonian Clay Tinted Pressed Finishing Powder. So, the Amazonian Clay is a very different texture than most foundations. It comes out like a melted clay – not runny like most foundations. When you first put it on, it seems to be going on super thick but it really isn’t and initially it feels oily. Throughout the day, I actually feel as if I have nothing on my face! I drastically started seeing a difference in my pores and acne once I switched (give it a few weeks) and I haven’t gone back! Since I loved the foundation and powder so much, I then added the Amazonian Clay 12-Hour Blush – Peaceful and Amazonian Clay Waterproof Bronzer to my daily look. I just love how all the amazonian clay products treat my face!

What I have learned about the benefits of using clay in your beauty products is that clay works as a purifier, exfoliator and rejuvenator. The minerals found in clay get into the pores and unclog them by absorbing excess oils. Also, the amazonian clay is “skin-smart”, which means it will naturally adjust to your skin type and concerns. I can honestly testify for the results as it was oily in the beginning then started changing to balance my skin. I highly encourage all skin types to give it a try! Lips

I have recently (past two years) realized how much the correct lip shade can make or break an outfit. It’s the finishing touch! Snob Lipstick and Soar Liner by MAC are my absolute favorite combo for an everyday pink lip! For nude colors, I purchased the ‘Hot Lips’ Nude Lipstick Set by Charlotte Tilbury during the Nordstrom sale. The set is no longer available but I have linked the two colors – Kim K.W and Super Cindy – along with the matching lip liner – Pillowtalk. Between those 3 colors, I am set for my everyday looks!

If you are looking for a less potent type of lipstick, I would go for the Giorgio Armani Ecstasy Shine. The lipstick is more of a lip balm and feels like chap-stick as you apply. The color doesn’t stand out as much but it is beautiful. I have linked the colors I enjoy using (Shine and Hot)

Eyes

I use Teddy Eye Kohl by MAC for an everyday look if I am not wearing eye shadow. Then, for shadows, I use Urban Decay Naked2 Palette. I will post about the combos I use soon! As an addition, I just received Morphe 25B Eye Shadow Palette that I haven’t played with much yet!
